Fort Shirley

We had the opportunity to visit Fort Shirley, a fort the British used to spy on the French. We were privileged enough to have a lawyer and historian, William Riviera, tell us all about the rich history and colonization of Dominica. Through a tour of the Fort, we were able to see the fort, an incredible view, and old cannons.

Later we went to the beach and invited some locals to play volleyball with us. We played games, went swimming and got to know what it was like to be a peer growing up in Dominica. Afterwards, we had a wonderful dinner prepared by the hotel with Professor Seraphin and Professor Levia.
